Chris Fisher, MD is a pioneer of trauma care programs in the state of Nevada, being directly involved with the development of the Level II Trauma Center at Sunrise Hospital.
He is Medical Director of the Trauma Department at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, is dual board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.At Desert Surgical Associates, Dr Fisher implements his skills and years of experience to successfully treat complex biliary, intestinal and pancreatic diseases as well as hernias, providing patients with state of the art surgical techniques and treatments to ensure the best outcomes. Through his work in the field of trauma treatment of various types he have become a sought after teacher and have participated in presentations across the country. Dr. Allan D. MacIntyre is the only triple fellowship trained acute care surgeon in the state of Nevada. He is extremely committed to his patients, providing a level of care and concern for his patients that is second to none.
Dr. MacIntyre is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy and received his Doctorate from the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed residency in General Surgery at Garden City Hospital in Michigan, and completed his Surgical Critical Care Fellowship and Trauma Surgery Fellowship at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He completed an additional Surgery Fellowship at the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Dr. Kitae Kim received his undergraduate degree from State University of New York Health Sciences Center of Brooklyn & Queens and earned his Doctorate from State University of New York Health Science Center of Brooklyn.
He subsequently completed his residency at St. Vincent Medical Center in Brooklyn and Queens. This was then followed by a fellowship at New York Medical College to advance his skills in surgical critical care. Professionalism, an excellent work ethic and a sense of fairness have continued to guide Dr. Kim in providing the best care possible for his patients.
SHERI STUCKE, PhD, APN Trauma Surgery & General Surgery
Dr. Sheri Stucke exhibits expert knowledge in trauma and general surgery. While she graduated with her bachelor degrees in nursing and psychology, she treaded down a path that lead her to obtain her Master of Science degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in addition to her Nurse Practitioner Degree and ultimately earn a Doctor of Philosophy by 2005.
Dr. Stucke has since taken on roles in nursing and academics, from being a trauma and general surgery nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania to conducting research in Pennsylvania and New York. She was also employed as an assistant professor at the School of Nursing at University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. Stucke has been the trauma and general surgery nurse practitioner with this group since 2005 and continues to focus on patient care, clinical research, education and giving back to the community.

Dr. Matthew Johnson is a very compassionate surgeon that always takes extra time when communicating with his patients as well as their families regarding their care. He is driven, kind, and extremely innovative in the field of surgery. He is also one of the few surgical endoscopists in the country. In 2011, as a chief resident, he received the Professionalism Award at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and continues to emphasize this professionalism throughout his surgical practice. He is very well respected by his colleagues in the field and always strives for perfection.
Dr. Johnson did his undergraduate training at the University of Texas at Austin and is a faithful Texas Longhorn to this day. He subsequently attained his Medical Doctorate at the American University of the Caribbean, in St. Maarten, N.A. where he also attained a Masters in Medical Science (M.M.S.). Dr. Johnson’s residency training was completed at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, NV in General Surgery (2005-11).
He then went on to become one of the early fellows in the country to complete an Acute Care Surgery fellowship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, NV (2011-13). During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Johnson also trained in Surgical Endoscopy with a specific emphasis on both diagnostic & therapeutic ERCP. In fact, along with other colleagues, he developed a new method for treating obstructing complicated biliary disease using combined cholecystectomy and ERCP in a one stage procedure, so-called the “One-Step/ELBS”. Throughout residency and fellowship, Dr. Johnson presented at many national conferences regarding ERCP use by surgeons for trauma and general surgery in addition to authoring several publications.
Following post-graduate training, Dr. Johnson joined Desert Surgical Associates and hit the ground running. He cares for patients in the field of general surgery, minimally invasive surgery, trauma, and critical care. Dr. Johnson’s specific interests involve minimally invasive robotic surgery, advancement of minimally invasive surgery in trauma patients, foregut surgery, hepatobiliary surgery and the use of ERCP for both diagnostic and therapeutic measures.

Dr Fisher enjoys sports car and motorcycle racing, outdoor sports such as skiing and hiking, and playing with his two dogs-a German Shepherd and Doberman--whom he considers "members of the family".

Ben Davis, MD, MPH, FACS

Dr. Ben Davis earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his general surgical residency at the University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, Missouri where he was subsequently chief resident.
He completed fellowships in Surgical Critical Care at the University of Missouri Health Sciences Center, Columbia, Missouri and thoracic oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. He is also a graduate of the Harvard School of Public Health, where he earned an MPH.
Dr. Davis practices general surgery, surgical critical care and trauma surgery. He has contributed to the formation of the trauma programs at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center,
Las Vegas, Nevada and Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; both programs met the criteria to become American College of Surgeons Verified Level II trauma programs.
He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and surgical critical care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Stefan N. Chock is a graduate of the University of California at Riverside. He earned his master's degree and doctor of medicine degree from Chicago Medical School. He completed his fellowship training in surgical, critical care and trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center's prestigious Baltimore Schock Trauma Center.
.As an original member of the Desert Surgical Associates group, Dr. Chock helped to develop the trauma critical care program at Sunrise Hospital, and continues to be involved in changes to the program.
Nancy Rivera, MD General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Critical Care Surgery
Nancy Rivera, MD, fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care medicine and board certified in General Surgery, joins the elite staff of Desert Surgical Associates in August of 2018. Dr. Rivera, a New Mexican native, did her undergraduate training at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM.
She subsequently attained her Medical Doctorate at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Rivera’s General Surgery Residency training was completed at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (2011-2016), where she was named Outstanding Chief Resident in Emergency General Surgery in 2016.
Following residency, Dr. Rivera relocated to Las Vegas where she completed her Surgical Critical Care/Acute Care Surgery Fellowship training at the University of Nevada Las
Vegas. (2016-2018). She cares for patients in the field of general surgery, minimally invasive surgery, trauma, and critical care. Dr. Rivera’s areas of interest include emergency surgery and breast surgery, as well as colorectal surgery, gall bladder surgeries, abdominal wall reconstruction, hernia repair, reflux surgeries and more. Dr Rivera is bilingual in English & Spanish.
